Will The Real Joe Burrow Please Stand Up??

Someone needs to save Joe Burrow from himself.

If the organization paying him 275 million dollars isn’t going to do it, I don’t know who will…

What is being portrayed as toughness, can only be seen (in reality) as stupidity. Yes, the Cincinnati Bengals earned a much needed 19-16 victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night. And yes, Joe Burrow, who was a game-time decision, battled through his nagging calf injury to lead the Bengals to their 1st win of the young season. But, does anyone with eyes really think this version of Joe Burrow is going to lead them to an AFC North title and another trip to the Super Bowl?! So, while 0-3 isn’t the death sentence it once was, the Bengals’ season feels like it has been saved — for now. The problem, however, is Burrow could be doing irreparable damage to his right calf. This doesn’t seem like the brightest decision in the world for Cincinnati’s 275 million dollar man.

So, Burrow can connect with Aaron Rodgers to learn how to better manage calf injuries all he wants, but maybe someone who employs Burrow should tell him to set down the ayahuasca and slowly..back..away.

Did I mention the Bengals are paying Burrow 275 million dollars?!

Here’s the part where I, guy on the couch, teach a multi-billion dollar organization, how to operate intelligently:

Step 1 – Sit Joe Burrow in Week 4.

Step 2 – Help him get as close to healthy as he can by forcing him to REST.

Step 3 – Beat the Tennessee Titans with Jake Browning under center.

It’s a simple, 3-step process that anybody can follow. And, it might just save the Bengals’ season — for good. A hobbled Burrow might be capable of beating teams who plan on having top-5 picks in next year’s draft, but that’s not why they paid him. They paid him to win Division Titles, Super Bowls, and MVPs.
